A breeze in the air, sun filled beaches, spring break festivities, and a wonderful family destination, a traveler can’t go wrong with a trip to the Caribbean. The Caribbean islands and the Bahamas give vacationers warm days, and a hot night life to look forward to. Fitting just about any budget, there are a number of cruises and hotels to cater to your needs. The islands of the Caribbean are great for singles and couples who are looking for a getaway and a tropical breeze. The Caribbean offers great food, plenty of opportunities to shop, nightlife, golf, gambling venues, and many interesting landmarks with historical significance.

If sleep is not a high on your list of things to do, the Caribbean islands are for you. Spending the day on the beach in the sun and the night at a dance club can take its toll on many, but in the Caribbean, going to bed in the wee hours of the morning is the norm for many travelers. If you are interested in trying out your luck, you’ll want to make a trip to one of the many available casinos. The main sources of adult entertainment in the region are, drinking, gambling, and dancing. Generally speaking, these three activities go hand in hand.
Aruba is another hotbed for night-life and is where you can find a younger crowd and some fairly wild nightclubs. Jamaica has an assortment of interesting places that really should not be missed. Puerto Rico has in recent years become a prime destination due to its dropping prices, in the past travelers would have skipped over it and headed down to Aruba, but Puerto Rico is now gaining in popularity during spring break. The Dominican Republic is also becoming a well known party spot, with many of its late night clubs staying open as late as 6:00am.

Although Gambling is not allowed on all of the islands, some of the more impressive casinos in the world can be found in the Caribbean. Sonesta Maho Beach, and The Great Bay, are both examples of Las Vegas like casinos, but these rest in an island setting. Atlantis, a casino in the Dominican Republic, is noted as being one or the more upscale establishments in the region. Jamaica has an assortment of casinos to choose from, and are generally less crowded than some other their counterparts on other islands. It is a widely accepted fact that if you are going to gamble, the Dutch Islands are the place to go.
Martinique is an island that is known as for its French influence, and is thought of as being a little piece of Paris located in the Caribbean. Martinique is influenced more by France than it is by the islands that surround it. Its volcano is the tallest in the Caribbean, and is home to colorful views that were noted by Gauguin more than a century ago.

Although geographically speaking it is a ways away from France, it is rich in the heritage that makes France lovely. There is more to Martinique than beaches, it has a wealth of shopping, Creole influenced dining, and an active night life.
The largest of the islands of the Dutch Antilles is Curacao. This island is located of the coast of Venezuela and offers a culturally diverse experience. The currently under control by the Dutch, this area of the Caribbean was originally settled by the Spanish, and was afterward settled and built up by the Dutch in combination with a large proportion of Venezuelans, as well as the descendants of slaves from Africa. All of these cultures have left traces of their heritage in the area. Tourists are drawn to the area by Curacao’s lovely quite beaches, and word class diving areas and resorts.

Those who fly into Curacao usually head to the city of Willemsted. A five mile drive inland will soon bring the traveler to a desert like landscape, that one would never expect to find in the Caribbean. Yes, you can even see large cacti that really give this landscape a natural desert feel. Willemsted is a quaint town located by the sea, and is home to most of the islands higher quality hotels and resorts. For most this is the starting place for those who want to explore Curacao. In recent years, the number of casinos has increased which has led to a boost in the nightlife in the area as well. If you are in need of nice beaches and night-time activities, this may be the place for you. Outlining the outer portions of the island are approximately 40 different beaches. Some are secluded and not easy to get to, while others sport hotels. There really is seemingly no limit to the amount of beaches one can enjoy, as they all seem to tie together.
For divers, Curacao is a wonderful destination. West Point is noted for its high cliffs that go down to the warm waters of the Caribbean, this is known as one of the better diving spots on Curacao. This area is also home to Christoffel National Park, where you can find the highest lookout point on the island. There is some interesting wildlife here as well. A person can easily spot iguanas, numerous bird species, and wild goats. If shopping is your thing, you will want to pay a visit to the shopping district of Punda, where you can find bars, restaurants, and a variety of stores and shops. Also, this city is home to some interesting architecture, which makes it much more than simply a view of sandy beaches and the sea.
