Welcome to Haina Safari Lodge on the northern border of the Central Kalahari Park in Botswana. Classically African, relaxed and informal accommodation is offered in luxury safari tents. The main boma of wood and thatch houses the lounge, dining room and bar area. Mobile overnight and day trip safaris are offered into the Park. Activities on offer include game drives, quad bike safari and an unforgettable experience with the local Bushmen people.
The setting of Haina Safari Lodge is classically African, relaxed and informal. The Main Boma consists of a lounge, dining room and bar area decorated in wood and thatch. A swimming pool, sun deck, well-appointed bar and and an expansive boma eating area are among the facilities available to visitors. The sundeck is a popular spot for social activities and for exchanging accounts of the various sightings of birds and animals seen during the day.The Lodge accommodates up to 20 guests in tented accommodation which are all private with their own decks.

DIRECTIONS

This luxury lodge is situated in the heart of the Central Kalahari, bordering the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, about a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Deception Valley. The nearest village is Rakops, about 1hour 45 minute drive to the east and the most popular shopping facilities are at Maun, about 2 hours 30 minutes drive further north.

For self drives it is recommended that you make use of a four-by-four vehicle. For the more fainthearted who want to visit, Haina Safari Lodge offers a licensed public airstrip (S20,57 E 023,40),Licensed to a maximum of 5700KG, or fly in with accredited tour operators or air charters.

Road connections:
The most obvious and practical route is via Rakops. The last refuelling stop on the main tar road between Maun and Letlhakane. The turnoff to the Haina Conservancy is 18 km north of the Rakops tower. Turn left at the "Haina Safari Lodge"signboard and follow the cut line for +/- 75 km to Haina Safari Lodge.

Please take note that Rakops is the last fuel supply, where there is diesel and petrol but no unleaded fuel. Unleaded fuel can only be obtained at Lethakane and Maun.

Route via Maun:
From Maun follow road to Makalamabedi. Turn of +/- 52 km. Turn right at Makalamabedi. Drive along the vetenary fence line to Kuke gate. Turn right along the Cental Kalahari Game Reserve fence line for approximately 22 km. Turn right at Haina Safari Lodge sign.

Route from Namibia / via Ganzi:
From Ganzi: Drive tar road to Maun. At Kuke Corner turn right into old main gravel road. Drive for +/- 4 km. Turn right at Haina Safari Lodge sign. Follow 2 spoor sand road adjacent to Central Kalahari Game Reserve for 120 km to Haina Safari Lodge signboard.
